Katarzyna Slota, MD, completed her residency at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. She is now an important part of the Department of Neurology’s General and Sleep Divisions as well as an assistant professor.
And here are some of her favorite things!
What are your hobbies? I enjoy spending time outdoors. In particular, I love to hike and snowboard. I also enjoy indoor cycling with my favorite Peloton instructor, Jess King.
What is your favorite meal/dessert? If I could eat cheese fries for every meal without any health repercussions, then I would!
What are one or two things you want to learn to do? At some point, I would like to learn how to sew. In the realm of neurology, I would like to be better at picking up suspect discharges on EEG.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? When I come home and dinner is ready!
What song always gets you out on the dance floor? “Shut Up and Dance with Me” by Walk the Moon.
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you? I am obsessed with all things coconut.
Name one thing on your bucket list. Travel to Egypt to see the pyramids
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A princess, then after a few years, a detective.
What is the best concert you’ve ever attended? Matchbox Twenty.
What is your favorite thing about your career? All the different people I get to meet/see (patients and colleagues).
