Movement Disorders

Overview

Movement disorders are neurologic condition associated with the disruption of motor control and generally not caused by muscle weakness. These disorders can cause a range of movement abnormalities, including increased movements or decreased and slow movements.

In addition to seven neurologists with subspecialty training in movement disorders, our multidisciplinary team includes an expert movement disorder advanced practice clinician, two functional neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, nurses and nurse coordinators, a genetic counselor, specialized clinic schedulers, two social workers, a clinic pharmacist, neuropsychologists, physical and occupational and speech therapists, neuro-ophthalmologists, neuropathologists, and movement disorder research coordinators.
