We have a monthly wellness meeting that is facilitated by our GME psychologist, Dr. Rob Davies. These one-hour sessions serve to create a safe space for our residents to discuss the unique difficulties of residency, to build resiliency through teambuilding exercises, and to promote a welcoming environment for our trainees.

Laura attended Bryn Mawr College (outside of Philadelphia, PA) where she double majored in biological sciences and Italian studies. She then took a position as assistant teacher at the Liceo Scientifico Galileo Ferraris, near Milan, Italy, teaching biology, chemistry, and English to Italian students aged 15–19. She then returned to the US where she received her MD from the Wake Forest School of Medicine, in North Carolina. Laura hails from the not-too-distant mountains of Colorado Springs, CO, where she was born and raised, so settling into Salt Lake City to work . . . feels like coming home!
