Meet the Faculty: Tobin Ehrlich, PhD
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy getting outdoors—hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding. I’m a big basketball fan, and being from the SF Bay Area, I follow the Golden State Warriors. Go W’s!
What is your favorite meal/dessert?
It depends where I am living! When I was in Michigan, I really enjoyed the Middle Eastern food and found myself gravitating toward Yemeni food. When I was in Central Texas, the Mexican food was amazing, and back home, I really like California cuisine—local and fresh.
What are one or two things you want to learn to do?
The Holdman Studio in Lehi has a class to learn how to make stained glass.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better?
A good cup of tea.
What song always gets you out on the dance floor?
Dance? None . . .
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a pretty good cook.
Name one thing on your bucket list.
To snowboard in Japan.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be Jane Goodall. 😊
What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?
David Gilmour and Richard Wright.
What is your favorite thing about your career?
Having a calming, positive, and informative impact on individuals and their family as they navigate an often-difficult situation.
