About Me
Steve is a city-slicker turned outdoor lover and traveler. Born and raised in New York City, at age 12 he moved to a NYC suburb in Westchester County for middle and high school and then attended the University of Rochester where he studied political science and economics. Having no intention to go into medicine, he worked for four years after college in a few jobs that included fundraising for a presidential campaign, a non-profit public health organization, and as an EMT. It was the latter experience that pushed Steve towards medical school and an unexpected return to the University of Rochester where he obtained his MD degree. During medical school Steve did research in Belize, Guatemala, Peru, and Argentina and also completed a road trip across the country from New York to California and back visiting 10 national parks. He plans to continue international work during his career in Neurology by bringing increased access to Neurological care to developing nations.
