About Me
Mark was born and raised in Southeastern Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate degree, where he majored in neuroscience. Afterward, he accepted a research technologist position at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland, for two years in a lab investigating neuromuscular diseases. He decided to return home to Michigan for medical school and attended Wayne State University School of Medicine. His passion for neurology developed early in his academic career, and his fascination with neurological conditions only grew with his clinical experiences. He is ecstatic to be continuing his medical journey at the beautiful University of Utah. Some of his favorite activities outside of medicine include camping, biking, watching football, playing board/video games, and traveling with his girlfriend, Ally (who is a pediatric resident at the U of U).
