About Me

Growing up in a small ski town in Montana, Sami gained a passion for community and outdoor recreation. She then attended Montana State University, attaining her degree in cell biology and neuroscience while competing as a pole vaulter and heptathlete on the track and field team. She completed medical school at the University of Washington and is now the education chief and future stroke fellow here at the University of Utah. Her clinical interests include health systems factors that influence neurologic outcomes, with a particular focus on how rurality, distance, and access to specialists impact patient care.
